HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY

        The Eatontown Municipal Band (EMB) was founded in 2000, with it's first performance at Wolcott Park, the 4^th of July weekend, with about 30 members.

        Its goal was to afford students, as well as older musicians, professional and non-professional members of the community, a chance to perform. As with most people who play an instrument, once you have completed high school or college, the playing stops. This was a chance to sit side by side, appreciate each others' talents and experiences, while entertaining the music loving community.

        Under the direction of Mr. Joe Miceli, his philosophy of bringing music to the community as well as letting young musicians the opportunity to enrich their lives with performing music and bringing their love of music to others.

        There are always open spots for anyone who wants to join.
